Confucianism and Daoism heavily influenced governing styles, military strategy, personal attributes and character portrayals in the Han Dynasty.
Double click on the pictures to go to websites introducing these two philosophies.
Once there, scroll down, bypassing the preface (and questions), until you arrive at the reading. Read the text on Confucianism to identify its main principles. Do the same for Daoism.
After you have finished, ask yourself:
- What are the main principles of Confucianism / Daoism?
- What are their similiarities?
- What are their differences?
If you can't remember, return to the text and skim it to find the information. Once you feel confident you know the answers, test yourself in the game at the bottom of this page. Good luck!
